Safes get locked for all kinds of reasons. Forgot the combination, dead batteries on the digital keypad, jammed bolt work, a lock mechanism failure, or you inherited a safe with no combination and no clue what's inside. Digital safe lockouts are the most common and usually the easiest. Most digital safes have an external battery terminal or an emergency key override. Batteries died? We hook up an external 9V battery to the contacts, you punch in your combo, and it opens. Forgot the code? We use the manufacturer reset procedure (you'll need proof of ownership) or the emergency override key. Digital lockouts run $120-160.

Combination dial safes take more skill and patience. We manipulate the lock by feeling for contact points on the wheel pack. That's the non-destructive approach and it takes 30-90 minutes depending on the lock quality. For high-security safes with manipulation-resistant locks, we might need to drill a small hole to see the mechanism. We plug and repair the hole after opening. Dial safe lockouts cost $120-250.

Gun safes are their own thing. Thicker steel, relocker mechanisms, anti-drill plates. If you try to force a gun safe open, you'll probably trip the relocker, which permanently locks the bolt work and makes the whole job harder and more expensive.
