Commercial Locksmith Florida

Master key systems, access control, panic bars, and commercial lockouts for offices and retail

When an employee leaves a commercial property — voluntarily or not — the clock starts on your security exposure. Did they give back every key? Did they make copies? Did they share the access code with a friend? Rekeying the whole building takes hours and costs hundreds. Rotating an access control fob or keycard takes 90 seconds from the admin panel. That is why most serious businesses in Florida have moved to electronic access control, and why our commercial call volume on access control jobs has tripled since 2022.

Six core commercial services: commercial lockouts, access control systems (keycard, fob, biometric), master key systems, panic bar installation, high-security lock retrofits, and filing cabinet/desk lockouts. We work with property managers, office tenants, retail operators, warehouse supervisors, HOA boards, and building owners. Most jobs get scoped on a site visit — free within our coverage zone — then quoted flat-rate before work starts. No time-and-materials surprises.

Commercial lockouts from $120. Master key systems from $400. Access control from $2,500 installed. Free site survey for systems.

When People Call Us

Real scenarios from the past 90 days of commercial calls. Pricing and timing below are typical ranges across our 18 Florida service cities.

Fired an employee — need all locks secured by tomorrow

Two options. One: rehash the key cylinders on every door they had access to. Cost: $29 per cylinder, 15 minutes each. Two: if you have access control, we revoke their card/fob in under a minute. No rekey needed. If you do not have access control and this situation happens more than once a year, a basic 4-door keycard retrofit pays for itself in a year of avoided rehashes.

Building expanded — need master key for 12 new offices

Master key system design: one key opens every office door, another key opens only department A, another opens only the janitor closet. We design the pin chart, cut all keys, rekey every cylinder to the new system, and give you a master chart with serial numbers for lost-key recovery. Typical 12-door master system: $600-900 including hardware.

Fire marshal flagged missing panic bars on two exits

Florida fire code requires panic hardware (push-bar exit devices) on all required means of egress from assembly, educational, and high-occupancy commercial spaces. We install Von Duprin, Yale, Dorma, and Sargent panic bars that meet NFPA 101 code. Typical install is $350-550 per door including hardware. Same-day scheduling when we have stock, which is most of the time.

Locked out of the office on a Saturday morning

Commercial lockouts run $120-180 for standard office mortise locks, $180-300 for high-security cylinders (Medeco, Mul-T-Lock, Abloy) because of the bypass complexity. We pick open without drilling when possible. After-hours premium is $60. Bring proof of business ownership or lease — we verify before entering.

Why businesses choose us over national chains

Same tech on every call

Most national locksmith franchises dispatch whichever contractor is closest. We assign one senior commercial tech to your account so they learn your building, your hardware, and your staff. Less ramp time every call.

Free site survey for systems jobs

Access control, master key, and panic bar projects start with a free site walk. We measure doors, check frame types, note power availability for electronic hardware, and submit a flat quote. No sales pressure — you get the quote whether you use us or not.

Ongoing maintenance plans

For properties with 20+ doors, we offer quarterly maintenance: cylinder lubrication, keypad battery swaps, lock tightening, master chart audit. $200-400/quarter depending on door count. Cheaper than emergency service calls when hardware starts failing.

Code-compliant installs

Panic bars installed to NFPA 101. Electric strikes wired to meet NEC standards. Access control programmed with proper emergency egress fail-safes (fail-safe vs fail-secure per door type). Work passes fire marshal and insurance inspections.

Questions We Hear Every Week

For 6-10 doors: $400-700 for a standard 2-level master (one grandmaster + individual keys). For 10+ doors with zoning: $700-1,500 for a 3-level system. Includes rekeying existing cylinders, cutting all keys, and a written master chart with pin codes for future work.
